About Cabinets
The cabinet's frame and face are solid Maple. The standard depth of base cabinet is 24", and the wall cabinets is 12". The height of base cabinet is 34 1/2". Depends on your ceiling height, we have 30", 36", and 42" high of wall cabinets. The depth of our vanity is 21" deep, and the height is 33 1/2".
All our cabinets are from nature Maple, so it's not possible to have the finish color exactly the same. Although the counter is 24" deep, the bottom of base cabinets are only 21" deep. Due to the humidity, the wood has to have space to shrink and expand, so we use plywood as the side and back panel of our cabinet. We want to reduce the gap between the cabinets and make it looks better, so our cabinet's doors and drawers are almost as wide as the whole cabinet. Because of that, our cabinet needs to have knobs or handles to open. You provide the hardwares and we will install them for free. Usually, people prefer to have the wall cabinets all the way to ceiling. There are other options. You can have different height of wall cabinets or keep some distance between the ceiling and wall cabinets. The distance between the bottom of wall cabinet and countertop should be 16" to 22". The cabinet color should match the environment and furniture. Also, if your kitchen is not very big, we recommend you choose lighter color of cabinet. |
About Counter Top
The standard depth for the countertop should be 24", and the width for island and peninsula is 36".
All the granite are from the nature. It's not possible to have 2 slabs exactly the same. You cannot use marble as the kitchen countertop. They are not as strong and durable as granite. The standard edge is double bullnose. It will cost you more to have different edge. The fabrication charges by linear foot. We have lots of choices of different color of granite, and they are from all over the world. Like Italy, Brazil, India, Russia, Finland, Norway, China, etc. There will be a piece of 5/8" plywood between the base cabinet and countertop. If your sink is in the corner then you should choose an overmount sink. You will get into trouble if you use an undermount sink. For the backsplash, you can have 3 choices. 6" granite backsplash is the standard and most economic choice. You can have oil-base paint or tile between the bottom of wall cabinet and the top and backsplash. The second choice is tile only. The third is have full granite backsplash. Of course, the third choice is the most expensive, but easiest-to-clean choice. Most people prefer to have a under mount stainless steel sink. Under mount sink means the sink is under the countertop. Yes. It looks better, and it's easier to clean the counter. But it will cost you $200 more for the labor, and you will have to replace the whole counter if you want to change the sink in the future. Granite is low maintenance. Since it's from the nature, it has to have some porous on the surface. After our installation, you will need to apply granite sealer. It's very easy. Just follow the direction on the bottle. Apply the sealer once or twice a year, then you should have no problem with the stain. QuartzStone is engineered counter top, and it's very low maintenance. QuartzStone natural quartz surfaces offer numerous advantages over other natural stones. Quartz has a hardness of seven on the Mohs scale (this measures the hardness of a mineral), a diamond is the hardest at ten. The material is also cleaner, safer and more consistent than that of other surfaces. In addition to its superior performance, QuartzStone has greater consistency than natural stone which is veined and prone to flaws. QuartzStone has all the advantage of granite; but without the disadvantage. It is scratch resistant, stain resistant, carck resistant, heat resistant, resistant to household cleaning products, nonabsorbent and nonporous, mold and mildew resistant, and color consistency. For the QuartzStone, we have White, White with sparkle, Black, Cream, Orange, Green, Grey, Grey with sparkle and Pink colors. |
